With heartfelt sorrow, the family of Grace Lynn Britt announces her passing. Grace was born sleeping on July 5, 2026, at MUSC Florence. Though her time on earth was far too brief, her life was surrounded by love from the very beginning, and her memory will forever be cherished by all who anticipated her arrival. Grace was the beloved daughter of Stephen and Heather Marie Britt. She leaves behind her loving siblings, Johnathan (Lexi) Britt, Krissie Britt, Leon Sojourner, Jayden Britt, Stephenii Britt, Nevaeh Britt, and Reva Britt, along with her maternal grandparents, Harry and Marie Tarlton. She is also lovingly remembered by her aunts and uncles, Hillary Tarlton, Teddy (Tammy) Tarlton, Daniel (Jackie) Tarlton, Sarah (Joey) McDuffie, Heather D. Britt, and Ronnie C Britt Jr., as well as many cousins, extended family members, and friends whose lives were touched by the anticipation of her arrival. Grace was welcomed into Heaven by her brother, John M. Sojourner; her cousin, Kenneth Blackburn III; her paternal grandparents, Ronnie C. Britt Sr. and Patricia D. Britt; her paternal great-grandparents, W.C. and Gretelle Hayes; and her maternal great-grandparents, Ted and Sandra Tarlton. Although Grace never had the opportunity to experience life on earth, she was deeply loved before she was born. Those closest to her will forever treasure the sweet moments when she responded to the sound of her father’s voice, gently moving with excitement each time he spoke to her. Those precious memories will remain a lasting reminder of the special bond they had already begun to share. While her earthly journey was only a moment, her life serves as a beautiful reminder that every life is precious and every heartbeat is a gift. Grace’s tiny footprints have left an everlasting imprint on the hearts of all who loved her. The family finds comfort in knowing that Grace now rests safely in the loving arms of Jesus, where she is surrounded by perfect peace. Though deeply missed, her memory will continue to be a source of hope, love, and the promise of a joyful reunion one day in eternity. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” — Jeremiah 1:5
