In Loving Memory of Tammy Peagler March 5, 1965 – July 6, 2025 It is with deep sorrow and boundless love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Tammy Peagler, who departed this life on July 6th at the age of 60. A fierce protector and tireless provider, Tammy was the definition of devotion. As a single mother, she faced every challenge head-on with unwavering strength and resilience, pouring her heart into raising her two children. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for them—no sacrifice too great, no dream too big. Her loyalty to her family was unmatched, and her love was unconditional. Tammy was known for her outgoing nature and magnetic personality. She had a way of lighting up every room she entered, with a quick wit and a bold laugh that invited others in. Her fiery spirit made her unforgettable. She stood for what she believed in and never hesitated to speak her truth. Though she accomplished much in her lifetime, Tammy would tell you her greatest joy came from being a Mimi. Her grandchildren were the center of her world—her pride, her purpose, and her delight. She loved them fiercely, spoiled them happily, and filled their lives with warmth, fun, and wisdom. Tammy leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and determination. She is survived by her two children, Destiny Scott ( Kyle) and Chad Poston (Cricket), her cherished grandchildren: Gage, Caleb, Gunner, and Carlee, her brother, Danny Ray Lynch, nieces, Heidi Carter (Lee), and Michelle Taylor (Jeff); her best friend of 38 years, Penny (Shawn) Reed; and a host of family and friends who will miss her deeply. Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Haynes; and his step father, Lavern Sellers. She taught us how to love without limits, to fight for what matters, and most importantly to always put God first. Her spirit will live on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the strength of her children, and the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her. A celebration of Tammy Peagler’s life will be held on July 10th at 5:00 PM at Mechanicsville Baptist Church, where we will honor the fire, the love, and the legacy she leaves behind. The family will receive friends beginning at 4 at Mechanicsville Baptist Church. Rest well, Moma. Your love shaped us. Your spirit inspires us. Your memory will never fade.
