Bert Waldrop Jr

July 6, 1961 - May 30, 2020

Albert William "Bert" Waldrop, Jr., 58, of Timmonsville died on Saturday, May 30, 2020. Mr. Waldrop will be laid to rest at Darlington Memory Gardens on the family lot. Bert was born in Norfolk, Virginia on July 6, 1961. He was the son of the late Albert William and Brenda Carter Waldrop. He graduated from St. John’s High School. Following high school he began his career with Sumter Builders. It was here he experienced an accident leaving him with only one arm. Bert never acknowledged this as a handicap and he excelled in hunting, fishing, and was a great golfer. He was a hard worker and was dedicated to his family’s business, Turner’s Auto Salvage. He enjoyed gardening, helping others, and he always stayed busy. His talents were many. Bert loved the Lord. He read his Bible daily and was a member of The First Baptist Church in Timmonsville. His family, friends, and his church family will miss him dearly. Surviving are his sister, Kimberly Waldrop of Murrells Inlet; his aunt and uncle, Russell and Mickey Turner of Timmonsville; and good friend, Penny Odom Watson. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Family and friends are invited to signed the online guest book at www.kistlerhardeefuneralhome.com
