DARLINGTON, SC REUNITED AT LAST Clyde Squires July 19, 1935 – January 01, 2019 Clyde has been reunited with his love of his life, Deana Bell Squires, who passed away December 31, 2016, and now reside in Heaven. He is the son of the late Claude Squires and Rose Markley Squires, also preceded his death are his siblings; Charles (Chuck) Squires, Donald Squires, Joseph Squires and Shirley Squires Buchta. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a veteran of the Korean War, US Navy Shipp USS Antietam. He also served in the United States Army Reserve. He worked in the coal mines of West Virginia. He sold singer sewing machines door to door, he mostly worked in the oil business, Standard Oil and Quaker State, until retirement. He kept busy, always into something, Boxing Club in Chester, West Virginia in the 70’s, he loved the boxers and loved keeping the kids busy. He had green houses and loved plants of all sorts. He loved drag racing at Friendship Park in Winterville, Ohio and Darlington, SC and several other tracks. He was a wonderful artist, cartoons, painting and airbrushing to say the least. Surviving him, his siblings, James William Squires, Philadelphia, Pa, John (Dorothy) Squires of Mt. Morris, Pa, Claudia (Larry) Moser of Chesnee, SC, Jacquelin Squires moore of New Castle, Pa. His children, Clyde, Jay (Donna) Squires, Florence, SC, Susan (William, Jr.) Blinn, (Formally of Chester W. Va.) Darlington, SC and Janis (Randy) Morrell of East Liverpool, OH. His grandchildren, Misty (Robert) Davis of Calcutta, OH, Ben Frazier of Chester WV, James Hayes Cleveland, GA (Active Duty Army), Jeremiah Squires of Chester WV, Kelsey White of Florence, SC and Timothy Toothman, Jr. of East Palestine OH. He has 10 great grandchildren which affectionately called his pap or pad daddy. Our parents, Clyde and Dee, have nurtured so many; have touched so many lives; haven given so much laughter, kindness and joy to so many of us. They were so very giving. Per their request, no services will be at this time. We will have Memorial Service to honor both parents together at a later date in order to better accommodate our family and friends. A very special thank you to the Amedisys Hospice, and the many people who supported us. This is the most thoughtful organization. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Kistler Hardee Funeral Home and Crematory in Darlington.
