Elizabeth "Libby" Stocker born in in Georgetown, South Carolina on February 6, 1957 passed away peacefully at her home in Niagara Falls, New York in the early morning of July 23, 2020 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, Joel and Joann Creel and her brother, Bobby J. Creel. Elizabeth was raised in the Holiness Church and remained a spiritual woman who donated to many charities and was an avid supporter of the BLM movement among others. Elizabeth leaves behind her partner of 17 years, Yvonne Stocker. He daughters, Melissa McLaughlin (Jeremy Clemons) of Effingham, SC; and Frances Watford of Niagara Falls, NY; her 2 step children, Maximilian Stocker (Sarah Welstead) of Etonicoke, Ontario and Laura Bright (Rob Bright) of Hampton Nova Scotia. In addition, she is survived by her two younger brothers, Thomas L. (Lynn) Creel and Michael K. Creel (Michelle Creel). Elizabeth was a lovingly known as "Mama" to many who met her over the years. This is especially true of her friends turned family Joe, Gina and Isabella Montie of Niagara Falls. Her Niece and nephew, Logan and Alex Creel whom she shared a close relationship also called her Mema. Elizabeth is also survived by a host of cousins who she considered more brothers and sisters rather than cousins. Elizabeth stated quite often that her proudest achievements are her 6 grandchildren, Preston, DJ, Caralina, Fiona, Elijah, and Maxton. Elizabeth (Libby, Mama, Mema) has a personality that brightened any room she entered and she was able to quickly become friends with almost anyone she encountered. She will be intensely missed by everyone. Family will be receiving friends at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Michelle Creel at there home, 1080 Sugar Creek Circle, Florence, SC on Saturday, August 1, 2020 from 4 until 6 PM. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 4 PM at St. John's Cemetery.
