Darlington, SC James Able Gandy, 65, of Darlington died on Saturday, December 24, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 2 PM in Dovesville Church of God, directed by Kistler Hardee Funeral Home of Darlington. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM on Wednesday, at Dovesville Church of God and other times at the home of Jennifer Suggs, 200 Mont Clare Road, Darlington, SC. James was born in Darlington County, South Carolina. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. Surviving are his Daughter, Jennifer (Clayton) Suggs of Darlington; his grandchildren, Chris Yarborough, Jr. (Kimmie), Skyler Yarborough (Paige) and Quinton Suggs (Chelsey); his great grandchildren, Austin Yarborough and Aubrey Yarborough; his mother, Dorothy Cagle; his brother, Tommy “Bruster” Gandy; his sister, Susan Collins (Charlie); his step brother, Danny Cooper; his special nephews, David Gandy (Sarah Lear) and their child, Garland Gandy and Brunson Gandy (Erica) and their children, Briar, Anna Grace and Thorne. James was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne and Jerry Gandy; by his father, Simmons Able Gandy and by his grandson, Austin Yarborough.
