Darlington, South Carolina Jerry Wayne Montgomery, 64, of Darlington died on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home, 104 S. Buchanan Street, Darlington. Jerry was born in Cumberland County, NC. He was the son of the late, Willie John Montgomery and Elizia Powell Montgomery. Jerry graduated from Wilson High School where he ran track and attended Voorhees College and Benedict College. He was a carpenter by trade and was a great handyman. Surviving are his children, Jerry Wayne, Montgomery Jr., Lachonda Montgomery, and Deseree Montgomery; his brothers, Richard Powell, Casey Bernard Powell, Perry Powell and Harry Montgomery; his sisters, Janice Dawson, Pricilla Simpson, Wanda Thomas, and and Sheila Gregg; 3 grandchildren, Kavashion, Domonique, and Cullen; and 1 great grandchild.
