Florence, South Carolina Lila Mae Paul, 84, of Florence died on Sunday, June 20, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Kistler Hardee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 PM on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the funeral home and other times at the home, 3828 Sandy Lane, Florence. Lila Mae was born in Darlington County. She was the daughter of the late Lide S. and Leolo O. Howell. Lila Mae retired from Dixie Cup in Darlington after many years. She loved working in her yard, gardening, and flowers. Lila Mae also enjoyed baking and “Piddling”. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment with her family. Surviving are her daughter, Connie Paul Altman (Tony Dimery); her grandchildren, Heather Altman (Matt Cottingham), Brittany Altman, Justin Altman and Gary Altman (Ashlyn Broach); her sister, Letha Larymore (Robert); and her sister-in-law, Virginia Shepard Howell. Lila Mae was preceded in death by her brothers, Brastice Howell, Sidney Howell, and Benjamin Howell; and her half-sister, Minnie H.
