Darlington, South Carolina ROBERT W. (RICK) RUSHING, JR. Robert W. (Rick) Rushing, Jr., passed away suddenly Saturday, February 12, 2022, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on February 19, 2022 in Grove Hill Cemetery directed by Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home. Born March 19, 1963, he was the son of Robert William and Miriam Rushing. He graduated from St. John’s High School, Francis Marion University, and the University of South Carolina School of Law. Robert practiced law in Columbia and Darlington prior to opening his own offices in Florence and Myrtle Beach. He was a wonderful caring person who always brought laughter to those around him. He was predeceased by his parents. Surviving is his sister, Wanda Rushing (Barry) Jones of Columbia, South Carolina. Also, Robert was blessed with many wonderful friends. His loving girlfriend, Irene Odom and his long-time friend, Dr. James Huggins, were always there for him. Robert was a member of Central Baptist Church in Darlington, SC, and attended Jeff Wood Ministries in Surfside Beach, SC.
