Darlington, SC Robert Edward Scott, 83, of Darlington, formerly from Florida died on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Southern Methodist Church Cemetery in Lamar. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 PM on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home. Robert was born in Jackson County, Florida. He was the son of the late Manuel Norman and Vader Gibson Scott. Robert worked in construction and roofing most of his life and in the later years enjoyed working outside with his lawn care business. He was a handy man and could fix anything. He loved his family and will be missed dearly. Surviving are his children, Jerry Wayne Scott of Paisley, FL; Cathy Scott Parsons and husband, Lowell of Irvine, CA; Teresa Hayes of Dillon; and Robbin Scott Hayes and husband, Steven of Darlington; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Bobbi Jo, Kristi, Christine, Stephanie, Daniel, Isaac, Robbie, Miranda, Christie, Tony (TJ), and Ashley; his great grandchildren, Tristian, Cameron, Tanner, Shane, Danielle, Joshua, Harlee, Lucas, Dayna, Kristi, Dominic, Athen, Caden, Makenna, Rylan, Chesney, Bryson, Jayden, Faith, Khloe, Athena, Reese, and Braxleigh; and his sister, Seibel of Claxton, GA. Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda E. Carter; his granddaughter, Sheila; his great grandsons, Timothy, and Nate; and by his siblings, Betty Lou, Junior, J.R., Frances, and David.
