Darlington, South Carolina Shirley Harrington Teel, 87, of Darlington died on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 2 PM at Florence Memorial Gardens, directed by Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home of Darlington. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home. Shirley was born in Darlington, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Robert Earle Harrington and Martha Pratt Harrington. Shirley grew up in the Mont Clare community of Darlington County and attended Mont Clare Baptist Church. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening in the springtime. Shirley loved her family and will be missed dearly. Surviving are her sons, Alfred (Teresa) Teel, Ted (Susan) Teel, Joe Teel, Tim (Holley) Teel, and Barry Teel; her daughter, Lillie Courtney; her sister, Ann Britt; and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Teel; her brothers, Robert Harrington, and Rudy Harrington; and her sisters, Florrie Thomasson, and Mary Baker.
