Darlington, South Carolina Vivian Moody went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 2, 2019. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Vivian was known for her work with the Carolina Arthritis Foundation and was nominated to be one of 50 “Heroes Overcoming Arthritis” during a nationwide search by the National Arthritis Foundation to mark its 50th Anniversary based on her tireless work to advance efforts against the more than 100 forms of arthritis, her support for other arthritis sufferers, and her crusade to educate the public about the disease. She was a loving wife and mother who took much pleasure in growing plants and flowers, and ran a successful Blueprint business with her beloved husband, Carl Moody, until they sold the business and retired. Prior to retirement, she loved to travel with her husband to the annual Blueprinting Conventions held across the Southeast, as well as the International Conventions. Vivian was preceded in death by her son, Gordon Moody, and is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Carl Moody; her two daughters, Evelyn Watts and Debra Wood; sisters, Faye Farley, Betty Amos, Joyce Potter, and Marie Wehking; brothers, Shelby and Alvin McCormick; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Lavern and Mary Moody; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Moody Gandy. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 5 PM in the Chapel of Kistler Hardee Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4 until 5 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the funeral home. Pastor Mike Mills from Calvary Baptist Church will be officiating the service.
